You could select plants named after or for your Valentine; look among roses and daylilies for something suitable or go whole hog and ask a hybridizer to name one in honor of your personal Valentine.
How about a quick little gardening weekend getaway for two? Lots of great deals right now on trips to Bermuda, for example, there is nothing better than escaping to a tropical paradise full of green and growing plants in the middle of a snowy northern winter. Unless maybe a trip to an orchid display, there are plenty of those around in February. And don't forget the flower shows filling the event schedules -- The Philadelphia Flower Show is coming up in early March! Now that is a garden love fest for sure. Gosh, Valentine gifts for a gardener do not have to be floral. You could opt for the little coupon that reads "Good for three hours of mulching" or the ever popular "Bearer entitled to two tons of leaf mold, delivered." Maybe not so sexy to everyone, but plenty cool, believe you me. (Just don't forget the chocolates.) Love me, love my garden. Yup. Enjoy! Go To Page: 1 2
