Fudge. F U D G E. You read that right. Today I am here to talk about fudge. (To be precise, fudge that is fast, easy, and yummy.) If you can't get out and garden, then you might as well put the time to good use. Think chocolate. As in home made chocolate fudge, confection par excellence. I mean the special reserve, good quality stuff. And I mean fast and easy. Fudge you can make in a hurry. Fudge you can make with your eyes shut. The kind of fudge you make in a microwave for Pete's sake. Yes! I would never joke about chocolate. This is serious. This is the kind of fudge you can whip together at a moment's notice, the kind you can make in consecutive batches in the "You said you'd bring WHAT for fifty people tomorrow, dear?" kind of an evening. Better yet, call all your gardening friends and invite them over to commune with other winter crazed gardeners and drown those winter blues in fudge together. Got ten minutes? Here, make up a batch and try it yourself. But watch out, people will be asking you to make more. Fudge Recipe Ingredients: Instructions: Use an 8 inch square pan. Line it with aluminum foil before you mix up the fudge. (This step makes it easy to get the fudge out of the pan later. It also keeps the pan clean.) In a medium sized, microwave-safe mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and cocoa thoroughly. I use a whisk to do this. Cut the butter into about 8 pieces and scatter the chunks on top of the dry ingredients. Don't stir yet. Dump the milk over top. Don't stir yet. Microwave on high until the butter is completely melted. This may take between one and three minutes. Go To Page: 1 2
