So Much for Conventional Wisdom - Page 2

Moonlight Staffing takes over many of the functions of hiring shiftworkers including prescreening (see above quote), and protection for employers. Moonlight carries comprehensive insurance for its clients including personal and professional liability and employment practices liability. This is a huge benefit, and consequently, the business is growing. They plan to open more offices in the American southwest.

So what can we say about the conventional wisdom concerning shiftwork? Well, maybe it depends on whom you ask, and on what side of the workbench you park your “keester.” But make no mistake, shiftwork is here to stay, and the smart money is on those who realize that shiftwork is a unique factor in business, and must be managed intelligently. Otherwise, the golden goose will be dead.
