This issue of Cool/Great Sites features quite a variety of sites that I have put together for this newest issue. But first, a special highlighted site that deserves special mention: Trick or Treat for UNICEF. This site was submitted to me by a fellow web surfer, who asked if I would feature it during the month of October. I agree that it is for a very good cause. Please stop in here and check out all the fun stuff they have to offer and/or to make a contribution. My first hot pick is Television Schedules of the World. This web site features links to television program guides for the United States and many other countries. The main emphasis of this web site is on multi-channel listings and grids, and not specific networks and stations. For North America, you'll find Prevue, TV Guide, Click TV, TV Quest, The Gist, DirecTV, Jam! and TV Hebdo (in French). Other scheduling links are listed for Europe, South America, Africa, Asia Pacific, along with links for The Media Trade Shows Calendar, Telephone Directories on the Web, and World Climate. This one is definitely worth checking out.My next hot pick is Y2K Chaos. This is both an information and a survival page. The Year2000 problem is a very controversial issue which is getting a lot of hot publicity right now. The following quote says it all: "This Y2K site will provide all the information you will need to become efficiently informed about Y2K. And if you want more, we've combed through the hundreds of sites out there to suggest the best ones for you to directly jump to from here to get everything else you need to know or buy to survive Y2K. What we have comes in three forms: 1) factual info from first hand survival experience; 2) Y2K links to more information and the best places to buy what you need; and 3) recommended Y2K survival books. Y2K chaos is dedicated to helping you prepare for the worst, while hoping for the best." I couldn't have said it better myself. If you want to know more about the Year 2000 issue, this is the place to go.My third hot pick is TrippyHippy's Coloring Book. This one is basically self-explanatory. I wanted to add something for the kids, especially since it's that time of year, with Halloween right around the corner, and Christmas not too far behind! This web site has a great selection of top qualify pictures
