The Wearing of the Green

First, I guess I'd better give you a short word of explanation to account for my absence over the past few weeks. To make thinks simple and short, there were a number of personal things that just flat got in the way. Had a bunch of things to sort out and decide before I could continue these visits with all of you. Then to make things worse--if possible--my computer decided to give out with a fireworks show. Maybe it was trying to celebrate the Olympics or something--I don't know. At any rate, I'm back with a brand new computer.

However, due to the press of things around the 'ole homestead, my visits with you will have to be cut back to just once a month instead of the weekly visits that I've enjoyed for the past three years or so. Sorry about that, but I don't have any other choice. Perhaps, sometime in the future, we'll be able to resume our weekly visits--I sure hope so.

At any rate, March begins tomorrow and along with the traditional winds of March comes the traditional "St Patrick's Day" holiday. Sure, I realize that most of you don't get a day off from work or any of the other "perks" that come with some other Holidays but if you happen to be Irish it's a day to be celebrated with friends and family.

Heck, you don't even have to be Irish to enjoy the day. So to help you find some of the more traditional Irish recipes for the "Wearing of the Green" I'll share a few of the spots around the World Wide Web that I have found . Be sure to take a look and I'm sure You'll find something that will be of interest to you.
