GETTING CRABBY!© Vaudie E. Harrison
Well, folks, I'm back from my trip. However, most of you didn't even know that I was gone since I wrote last week's article before I left.
We spent a week in the Pacific Northwest--just South of Seattle, WA--and had a great time visiting with relatives. We spent some time walking on the beaches and gathering "Sand Dollars" and other seashells--this was a first for our son--and of course there were the many, many gift shops that we just couldn't resist. For me, however, the best part of the trip was the Fresh Seafood. In particular, the live crabs that we cooked in our beach side cabin. In fact, I thought that this week I would share some of the sites on the web that feature Crab recipes so that some, or all, of you could indulge in this great delicacy. So let's get started on our travel around the web. The Crabs that we consumed on our trip were Dungeness Crabs, so I thought that the best place to start our trip would be a stop at the DUNGENESS CRABrecipe page for a number of ways to enjoy this treat from the sea. Next let's stop by the JUST SEAFOOD CRAB RECIPEweb page for some more recipes for all kinds of Crab dishes. At our next stop, you'll find 149 CRAB RECIPES and I'm sure you'll find something that is sure to tempt your tastebuds. The waters off the coast of Alaska produces some of the world's best shellfish and is the source of the King Crab and the Snow Crab. So, of course, we'll have to visit the ALASKA KING CRAB RECIPES and the ALASKA SNOW CRAB RECIPES web pages for some more great recipes. I know, I know--some of you out there are thinking that I've left out a part of the country that is famous for their Crab Cakes and other great Crab recipes. I'm speaking of the area in and around the State of Maryland. This is the home of the Soft Shell Crab and the Blue Crab and our trip around the web in search of great Crab recipes wouldn't be complete if this area wasn't included. So, to complete our journey around the web, let's take a look at MARYLAND CRAB RECIPES and then we'll finish up at THE CRAB PLACE for some more ways to prepare and enjoy Crabs in the East Coast way. No matter how you prepare them, you'll find this seafood treat to be a real delight and something that you're sure to enjoy every chance you have. Go To Page: 1 2
