MORE ODDS AND ENDS© Vaudie E. Harrison
Well, I'm sure glad to see all of you back here again. That must mean that you had a safe Holiday weekend. I hope you all had a good time, as well as being safe.
Things are pretty hectic around here at the 'ole homestead--you see, one of our Daughters is expecting to deliver a new "Grand Kid" any minute now. But all you Moms and Dads out there know how that goes--the Doctor is only guessing and He's already a day or so late on his estimate. But, anytime now! This week, I'm gonna share some more of the Web Sites that I've found in my wanderings around the World Wide Web. You know, it never ceases to amaze me what all can be found out there in the "Great Electronic Playground" and here are a few places that I've found that I think you might like. If you like, as I'm sure you do, some "down home style" recipes, then take a look at RECIPES FROM THE HEART OF MISSOURI and you're sure to be happy. This next site has a name that will sorta throw you a curve, but if you click you way on over to COOKIES BAR-B-Q you won't find any cookies on the "barbie", but you will find loads of great Bar-B-Q information and recipes. Over the past three years I've had several people ask me if I had access to any of the "ole tyme" recipes for home remedies. Well for all of you who asked, here are some web sites where you can find just such a thing. Bear in mind 'tho that I make no claims for any of these remedies, but I do know for a fact that my Grandmaw used some of them on me when I was a kid and I'm still here 60 odd years later. So if you're looking for some of the "ole tyme" remedies , take a look at MMS HOMEMADE SALVES AND LOTIONS, SUNRISE FARMS HERB RECIPES, or the HOME REMEDIES web sites for 'ole tyme remedies for most anything you can think of. If you're looking for some "easy recipes" for this Summer Season, then you should hop on over to the I DON'T COOK web site for loads of those easy recipes that we all love. Summertime is a time of the year when many of us take the family on a camping trip or two and, if you're like me, it's always nice to find some great "campfire recipes" to use on those camping trips. Well, look no more. Just take a look at the Go To Page: 1 2
