SOME OF THIS, AND A LITTLE OF THAT!

© Vaudie E. Harrison

Most weeks, I spend my time with you talking about one subject and giving you recipes using that item or item.

However, this week I thought it might be fun to do a little web surfing and see what we can find to help all of us in our meal planning.

So, let's take a look around the web and see what we can find.

Let's start with a place that has been a big help to me from time to time. I'm sure that you, like me, find terms in some recipes that are somewhat confusing. You know what I'm talking about--those times when we see something in a recipe and we have NO IDEA what in the world they're talking about.

When that happens to me, I simple take a trip over to THE COOK'S THESAURUS where I find definitions of almost anything culinary.

Most of us like fruits of one kind or another, but tend to shy away from some of the more exotic type fruits such as Mangos. Most of us think that about the only thing to do with them is to peel them and eat. Not so! For a large assortment of ways to serve this fruit, just take a look at the MANGO RECIPE web site and you'll be surprised at the number things to do with this fruit.

Since we're talking about overlooked things, a vegetable that many people won't have anything to do with is Rhubarb. Most of us have heard of Rhubarb Pie and don't know of any other way to use this veggie. So, for some ways to use this 'ole time favorite, take a look at REACH FOR RHUBARB for some surprises.

During the past year, I have given you a number of ways to prepare seafood, and I hope you've enjoyed them. If you happen to be looking for some more ways to prepare various seafoods, take a trip to GRANDMA'S FISH RECIPES for a number of recipes.

If you should happen to be looking for something to do with Garlic and Peppers, you might like to visit the FARMER'S PICK web site for loads of information.

For a number of good 'ole down home recipes, take a trip to GRANNY'S KITCHEN and you're sure to find something to your liking.

Another web location with a number of good recipes is THE RECIPE ARCHIVE Take a look and see what you can find.
