HAMBURGER PIE
When I was a kid, this was a favorite evening meal.
1 to 1 1/2 Pounds of Ground Beef
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon of Pepper
1 teaspoon fresh of dried minced Onion
1/4 Cup of fine dry Bread Crumbs
1/2 Cup of Milk
1 Egg
1 envelope of Instant Mashed Potatoes (or use left over mashed potatoes)
3/4 Cup (or more to taste) shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Paprika (as needed)
Mix the Meat, Salt, Pepper, Onion, the Bread Crumbs--soaked in the Milk--, and the Egg. Spread the mixture in a Nine inch (9") pie pan. Bake in a moderate oven (350F) for approx 35 minutes. Top with the Potatoes--made according to package instructions. Sprinkle with the shredded Cheese. Bake for 10 more minutes or until the Cheese is melted and the Potatoes are hot. Sprinkle with the Paprika and serve. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
HAMBURGER KABOBS
NOTE: These Kabobs are delicious broiled in the Broiler of the Kitchen Stove. However, they become super special and delectable when cooked over Charcoal on the Bar-B-Q Grill.
1 1/2 Pounds Ground Beef
1/8 teaspoon ground Cloves
1/8 teaspoon of crushed Cardamom Seeds
A dash each of Pepper, Cayenne, Ground Ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons of Salt
1 Tablespoon of Sour Cream
1 medium Onion (minced)]
1/8 teaspoon of Crushed Cumin Seed, or Ground Cumin
8 to 10 large Mushroom Caps
8 to 10 chunks of Bell Pepper
Cherry Tomatoes (optional)
Kabob Skewers (as needed)
Completely mix all the ingredients, except Mushrooms, Bell Peppers and Tomatoes. Shape the mixture into 12 balls. Thread on Kabob skewers--3 to a skewer--with a Mushroom Cap, Tomatoes, and Bell Pepper chunks between the meat balls. Broil to the desired doneness. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
