SHHHH! KEEP IT A SECRET!© Vaudie E. Harrison
Calling all fathers, boyfriends, sons and daughters - this Sunday is Mother's Day. This is the day of the year to let Mom sleep late, perhaps have breakfast in bed, and get hugs and kisses from all of us who owe her so much for the things that she gives us the rest of the year.
And above all, don't, I repeat, don't let her know the surprises you have planned for her on her day. This week I'll give you a number of web sites that are chock full of things you can make or cook and give to that special Mom in your life. We are going to include some stories for Mom. We'll have a number of recipes ranging from the simple treats to some of the most decadent desserts you've ever tasted. We'll even give you a web site that allows you to send that special person an E-Mail greeting card - just in case any of you forgot to stop by the store and pick out a card. What's even better, it won't cost you a dime. Let's start with a place that has a variety of things to brighten Mother's Day. Here you'll find some stories, crafts for the kids to make, along with some special recipes to prepare for her. To find all of these goodies, simply go to Mother's Day Ideas and you're sure to find something she'll like. Crisco shortening has been a staple in America's kitchens for a long, long time and over the years they've amassed a huge recipe library. For some of their Mother's Day recipes, take a trip to The Crisco Kitchen. Spring is the time of the year when strawberries begin to appear in our supermarkets and you can create some wonderful treats for Mother's Day using these springtime berries. You'll find a number of special desserts at Strawberry Treats For Mom. Take a look and you'll see what I mean. Now let's go to a couple of places where you'll find some REALLY super, really decadent surprises for Mom. Don't tell her about them ahead of time - she'll tell you that they are too rich and have too many calories. Just surprise her with these dishes and I'll guarantee she won't be able to resist. The first of these is located at Godiva Chocolate Recipes. Go To Page: 1 2
