Mix It Up!

Here is a recipe to try out with the white sauce mix:

Veg-All Casserole

2 16-ounce cans Veg-All, drained
1/3 cup Flavorful White Sauce Mix, prepared according to directions
1 med. onion
½ cup mayonnaisse
1 8-ounce can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 stack cheese-flavored saltines

Spray a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray. Combine all of the ingredients except the crackers, and pour into the prepared dish. Crush the crackers and sprinkle the crumbs over the vegetable mixture. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 30 minutes.

Freezing instructions: After preparing white sauce, allow to cool. When cool, combine all of the ingredients except the crackers. Pour into a freezer bag, removing as much air as possible before sealing. Flatten bag and put in freezer. To cook, thaw casserole in the refrigerator or thaw in microwave. When casserole has thawed (it can still have ice crystals in it, but it needs to be able to spread out in pan) pour into a 9x13-inch glass baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Now crush crackers and sprinkle the crumbs over the casserole. Bake at 300 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
