So, did I try any of the recipes? Well, no. Why not? Well, despite the back cover declaring them simple, most seemed dauntingly complicated, running for pages, and a trifle (and more) on the vague side (2, or maybe 3 eggs, etc.)--but a lovely read, and well worth purchasing for the dedicated Francophile.
