The Biography of Julia ChildThe book provides a wealth of detail, but not always an engaging narrative, although this improves as the biography goes on, the character of Julia McWilliams becomes deeper itself. The only oddity, although pleasant, is the lack of Huge Adversity that normally is presented as creating the determination to succeed. Despite some physical ailments, Julia Child seems to have lived a particularly blessed life. Good for her, and good for us, too.
