For downhome Southern cooking, try Gritslickers. The recipes are unassuming, easy to prepare and designed for busy lifestyles.

Lisa Lofton Shively lives in North Carolina with her family. One day, while trying to organize her recipes, she realized she had enough to come up with her own cookbook. Her first, "From Our Home To Yours" was a successful self-publishing venture. Last year, she spent weekends at various bookstores doing book signings and cooking demonstrations. Inspired by her recent success, she wrote this book.

The recipes are easy-to-read and easy to prepare. There are no complicated cooking terms to understand, nor are there any exotic ingredients and you do not need to be an expert in the kitchen to prepare any of these recipes. All you will find in here is southern home cooking.

The chapters you will find in this book are: Appetizers & Beverages; Soups & Salads; Vegetables & Side Dishes; Main Dishes; Breads & Rolls; Desserts; Cookies & Candies; This & That.

Some of the tasty recipes you will discover in this book are: Shrimp Gumbo, Heavenly Milky Way Ice Cream, Watergate Salad, and Southern Fried Baked Steak!

Go to Lisa's website and order yourself a copy! And while you are at it, the holidays will be approaching soon enough, order a couple more for presents!
