Do I Have Time to Have Fun?List Of Things To Do: - Look after family. - Look after home. - Look after business. Where on my list does it say I can read a book or take a walk or just stare out the window? Did the list with all the fun things to do get lost in my clutter? I've decided it's time I made up a new list, one that details how I'll care for myself. The clutter of my life easily gets in the way of looking after those simple things like making a doctor's appointment or getting a haircut. Sometimes even getting dressed is delayed because I'm tied up trying to find important papers for the day ahead. I don't want to feel guilty anymore because I feel the need to be flipping through a magazine instead of vacuuming or cleaning out a closet and donating a bag of clothing to a local charity. I'm feeling a deficit in the ‘kick back and have fun department' so today my list is going to look different. List Of Fun Stuff To Do: - Enjoy a tall glass of cool water while studying the birds in the tree. - Ride my scooter to the park with my family and practice doing wheelies. - Spend an hour or two writing in my journal exploring new ideas that I've only dreamed about. - Schedule some of my dreams into plans for the next Fun Stuff To Do list. Now I feel like I can attack my other list with all the work. I found a helpful site that sends me daily reminders to work through my clutter and get some order in my life. If any of you have visited http://www.FlyLady.net you'll understand my need to shine my sink every day. There really is time each day to have fun but also take care of the business that we're each responsible for. For a long time I thought I had to slave each day over my clutter but I've discovered it's easier to attack after I've stared out the window for a few minutes and enjoyed some peaceful moments collecting my thoughts. That allows me to focus on my needs before I work on the challenges I face with the clutter in my life. That time also allows me to find the acceptance and strength to fill my cup with inspiration. It's one I'm learning to sip from throughout the day until I get a chance to center again at the window.
