Chart History For those of you who are not familiar with Delirious? I would like to show you how Delirious? have done in the charts overall. Each album/single has a bit of commentary on how it did. Enjoy!
UK Chart HistoryWhite Ribbon Day (February 1997) - #41
White Ribbon Day missed the top 40 by a mere 141 sales. The reason they did not have those 141 sales is because they hadn't expected to do so well and because of that hadn't manufactured enough copies. The CD single sold out completely within 24 hours. Deeper (Date) - #20
This is really the first time that we see the ongoing problem of Radio One refusing to play Delirious? This time they were ready and as a result they had a good chart placing. They could not, however, get the song played on the big radio stations even though the fans pleaded with the radio to do so. King of Fools (Date) - #13
Quite an accomplishment for a band that was just starting to become known. Their first studio album was very well received on the whole and it showed the world that this band could do something. Promise (July 1997) - #20
The second top 20 for Delirious? was released the day after the final "Cutting Edge on the Beach." Full of distorted guitar compliments of Stu G the single did quite well. It also appears that there was not much controversy of the lack of radio play over this single. DeEPer EP (Date) - #36
Furious? re-released "Deeper" as an EP to build up public exposure. However, the single did not do as well as its predecessor "Deeper" and peaked at #36. The effort was not a complete failure, though, as us d:fans were able to get recordings of two unrecorded songs "Touch" and "Summer of Love." See the Star (February 1999) - #16
The highest charting single so far, "See the Star" is one of my favourite songs. The double CD single contained something which none of the previous d:singles had - a video of the title track. While X fm was playing the song it seems that Radio One still were not going for Delirious? Mezzamorphis (April 1999) - #25
Even though some people in the music industry were saying that Mezzamorphis would chart just as high of its predecessor King of Fools, the latest album from Delirious? couldn't quite make it into the Top 20.
North American Chart HistoryCutting Edge* (March 1998) - #20 (CCM Top 100) #3 (Top CCM Rock/Alt/Rap)
