Quack? Cry Fowl!

What do a defrocked English teacher, a conspiracy doctor, a used car salesman and an unemployed cook have in common? They and a group of Mexican charlatans sell bogus vaccines as cures for Cancer, AIDS, heart disease and Gulf War syndrome, according to the American Patients Association Against Health Fraud (APAAHF).

In a news release, APAAHF charges that Suzanne Henig, a recently-fired English teacher in California; Jeanette Jacobs, a cook; and Jay Walker, a used car salesman, all of San Diego, conspired with others across the border in Tijuana to peddle "vaccines" as cures for cancer, HIV/AIDS and heart disease. The bogus remedies were marketed in brochures, on the Internet, and through correspondence, APAAHF says.

Among APAAHF's allegations:

"In graphic, published, and videotaped evidence, Henig can be seen championing conventional medicine on the one hand while advising patients to avoid the poisoning and burning of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in favor of her vaccines that cure everything. Henig has at least two faces, all of them ugly. Whether presenting herself as a victim, or director of clinics with revolutionary technology; whether claiming to be dying of cancer or healed of it; whether claiming to be financially bankrupt or a benefactor who funds a world congress to promote her wares, Henig cannot be all things at all times...listen to some of Henig's claims on live video and audio:

** "Cancer vaccine cures 100% of prostate Cancer!"

** "AIDS vaccine eliminates virus in eight weeks!"

** "We have vaccines that cure leukemia!"

** "We have vaccines that cure Arthritis!"

** "We have over 100 different compounds, vaccines and sera to treat disease!"

The news release makes frequent mention of Henig's "appearance in court," and APAAHF's "suzannehenig.com" website even contains a videoclip of her testimony. However, nowhere does APAAHF identify the court in which the trial took place, whether Henig was a defendant or merely a witness, what charges or issues were being tried, or whether the case was civil or criminal.

Who is APAAHF? A search of Yahoo and Alta Vista produced no web site for "American Patients Association Against Health Fraud." The only web site referenced in APAAHF's news release is "suzannehenig.com." Contact information provided is as follows: APAAHF, 4676 Walton Blvd.,Waterford, MI 48329, (248) 358-8221, frauddetective@oakland-info.com .

At Internet News Bureau you may read the entire APAAHF news release, which is notable for the fact that it degenerates from plausible and credible to hysterical about midway through.
