Truly GratefulFor the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation. For my huge heating bill, because it means that I am warm. For the lady behind me in church who sings off key, because it means that I can hear. For the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means that I have clothes to wear. For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means that I have been capable of working hard. For the alarm that awakens me in the early morning hours, because it means that I can get up. For my child's diseased heart, because it means that she is alive. The cup is either half-empty, or half-full. We can't have it both ways. We can make the best of what we have been given and all that life has to offer, or we can wallow in self-pity and allow depression or despair to stunt our growth and the realization of our full potential. Which mind-set are you going to choose today? Take care and God bless, Kristine
