I usually give short shrift to web sites that have no graphics because of the fear that surfers, even those with a serious interest in the topic of conflict resolution, might find such sites dull. The conflict resolution web site for Nova Southeastern University's School of Social and Systemic Studies is a no-nonsense site, with the only color other than black and white being blue hypertext, but I heartily recommend it to anyone with a serious or even passing interest in conflict resolution. If you are looking for a mediation program, a college course in dispute resolution, an article or organization in the field of conflict resolution, or just want to learn the meaning of terms such as mediation, arbitration, ADR, and other dispute resolution jargon, you are likely to find a relevant listing or link on the site.
The site can be found at
http://www.nova.edu/ssss/DR/resources.ht... The site's home page offers a table of contents that includes Internet Resources and Listserves, Newsletters, Journals, Membership Organizations, and Resource Organzations. All the lists are alphabetized, comprehensive, and easy to browse. And although I didn't test every link, all the ones I did try were useable and up-to-date.
Add this site to your list. Until next time...
UPDATE: A reader has just informed me that the weblink listed above is no longer functioning. You can still access the site, however, by going to http://www.nova.edu, then to Site Map, to Graduate Programs-Dispute Resolution and Family Therapy, to School of Social and System Studies homepage, to Resources to Online Resources to Conflict Resolution Resources. Please let me know if there are still problems accessing the site.
