1st Annual Computer Gaming News Contest(Hopefully another one next year) That's right! I've gotten my act together and put together this category's first contest. First an overview: With the largest gaming expo (E3) recently taking place, the public got their first taste of many of the biggest games hitting the marketplace relatively soon. Unfortunately, "relativly soon" means at least as far off as the holiday season. For hardcore gamers this is far too long to wait, and that's where you come in. Fill the traditional lull in summer gaming by coming up with ideas for your own games. First come up with a story-line, and go from there. Will it be an adventure or action game? Will it feature multi-player capabilities and state of the art graphics? It's all up to you! To get started head to http://www.gamecenter.com/Features/Exclu... for some ideas. Note: Some may be morally offended by this list, even though there is no violence, sex, or nudity. Just warning you. Send your entry to either sweiser@usa.net or sweiser_81@yahoo.com, including all the information you think your game needs to make it a bestseller. For the industrious gamers, create your own artwork for the theoretical box. Make sure artwork and game ideas are appropriate for all ages, otherwise your entry will be thrown out. Also, each person will be allowed to submit one entry. All entries received will be posted for readers to view and vote for. The entry receiving the most votes will be declared the winner (duh!). If only a few votes are sent in, the editor will pick the entry he believes is most original as the winner of the contest. To entice you to enter this contest, the winner will receive a copy of Tom's Hardware Guide from Amazon.com, perfect for helping you upgrade your gaming system to your dream computer. The contest will run from August 1, 1999 to August 31, 1999. It is only open to Suite101.com members. To become a member, join here http://www.suite101.com/join.cfm .
