E3 offers many huge new games: However, many are sequels

© Sean Weiser

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, took place June 19-23 in Atlanta. The Electronic Entertainment Expo is the largest game show in the world. E3 is where most of the the huge, new games that take the country by storm are introduced to the public. And this year is no different. Big companies, from Actvision to Maxis to Berkley Systems, introduced their new games during the convention that took place on the 19th through the 23rd. Here's a run down of some of the games that the crowd at E3 witnessed. By no means is this all of them. For a complete listing of every game previewed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, head to http://www.e3news.com. Not only will you find games created for the PC, but for many other gaming systems like Nintendo 64, Sony Playstation and the like.

Even though most, or all, of these games are supposedly going to be great, and revolutionize the gaming industry, I'm somewhat disappointed with these new games. The majority of the ones I listed and the majority of the complete list are sequels. Don't people want something new and untried before? Even though some families of games have a good following and the sequels are as fun or more fun than the first, I want something original and new. I still look forward to playing some of these games, but I'd be more inclined to play something that no one has ever thought of before. Do others feel the same as I do?
