The History of Computer Games: Part Four: 1991- Present1995 was the year that CD-ROM's totally conquered disks as the medium of distributing computer games. Newer, faster CD-ROM drives gave designers more options in graphics, sound, and video. If you didn't have a CD-ROM drive in 1995, you really didn't have a wide-array of games you could buy.
So, that's where we are about now. Whew! In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed my history of the gaming industry. It's far from over. Right now, games are becoming even more complex. New 3-D graphics accelerators, faster processors and operating systems are allowing designers to create games that would have been impossible to create even a few years ago.
