X-Cellent Launch Lineup
Amped: FreeStyle Snowboarding (Pub: Microsoft. Dev: Internal). A surprising gem: what had looked little more than a generic SSX-alike snowboard title turns out to be a fun, detailed and extensive snowboarding simulation that will not disappoint any gamer, even those who are hooked on the inferior (I reckon) SSX Tricky. It provides a greater degree of freedom than many snowboard titles and the controls, so crucial in games of this type, are responsive and accurate. COol, dude. See http://www.xbox.com/cms/images/games/amp... Project Gotham Racing (Pub: Microsoft. Dev: Bizarre). This game is a pretty straight update, albeit with some nice graphical tweaks and new bits and bobs, of Metropolis Street Racer (originally released on the much-loved Sega Dreamcast). It is an excellent racer featuring all sorts of eminently desireable cars and loads of nice little touches (e.g. the way your car reacts to the changeing road surfaces). Thoroughly recommended for racing fans and general gamers alike. See http://www.xbox.com/projectgothamracing/... That should be enough to keep you sated for the time being. I can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend the XBox and all of its launch titles to you and will get back as soon as I can find out more about some of the other titles waiting in the wings.
