Members who want to use the services such as initiating email or an instant message or viewing a backstage pass have to purchase credits. The basic package of $9.99US purchases 40 credits, $19.99 for 90 credits and $39.99 for 200 credits. Members can replenish their credits at any time.
Five (5) credits allow you to have an Instant Messaging session for 20 minutes and ten (10) credits give you 60 minutes. During an Instant Messaging session, you can send messages to as many members as you like. Sending an email costs five (5) credits. Further email messages to that member are free for 30 days from your last correspondence.
You don't have to be a member to browse the ads, but you must join to place an ad. The profile itself is a combination of fill in the blanks and a space for a description in your own words. Non-paying members place a standard ad but paying members can place use the enhanced ad feature which allows up to 5 pictures and a more detailed description. Paying members ads are placed at the top of the list when a search is done.
The search criteria is very detailed and conforms with the information placed in the profiles. For example, you can search by height, weight, religious preferences, lifestyle preferences and astrological signs. If you sign onto the US or Canadian site, you can search for profiles in both countries.
In order to contact someone, you must join Club Connect. If you are a non-paying member, basically all you can do is post a profile and hope someone contacts you. A paying member gets his/her personal mailbox and can set up an alert when a member joins who matches his/her pre-selected criteria. If you have Yahoo Messenger, you can arrange to receive an alert when you receive a message in your personal mailbox. All instant messaging is handled through Yahoo Messenger.
The fees are payable in US or Canadian funds. For US members, the prices are $19.95 US for one (1) month, $42.95 for three (3) months, and $89.95 for twelve (12) months. For Canadian members, the prices are $29.95 CAD for one (1) month, $69.95 for three (3) months and $139.95 for twelve (12) months. Memberships automatically renew so you have to notify Yahoo! In order to terminate your membership.
