You can also see who is online and who has looked at your profile (still, only people who fall within your selection criteria will appear here). If you are a paying member, you can have a private conversation with other paying members or enter into the various chat rooms.

At the present time, the membership fees (US funds) are $21.95 for 1 month, $49.95 for 3 months, $74.95 for 6 months and $119.95 for 1 year. As you can see, longer-term membership is rewarded.

If you are a trial member, all you can do is browse. You must join in order to look at the ads.

Friendfinder

A non-paying (Standard) member has partial privileges, such as the ability to view 100 profiles (more in depth than a photo ad) during each 24-hour period and one email per 24-hour period. Non-paying members can join in chat rooms and send instant messages to other members. The search engine for Standard members allows age range, state/province and country so you can look for anybody in the world.

There are two levels of paid membership and they are Silver and Gold. Ladies who post a picture in their ad are automatically upgraded to silver members. In addition to the services for Standard members, paying members have unlimited access to profiles and can send or receive email. More chat rooms are available to these members. Gold members can create and manage their own chat room. The search engine for Silver members provides more criteria such as race and distance from home. Gold members can specify body features, religion, smoking preferences and education.

When you contact a member, there is a choice of email, voice mail or sending a greeting card. This is available to all members. Only Gold and Silver Members can view ICQ numbers on the profiles. Gold members have the capability of using the Cupid service that is email notification of new members joining who meet the criteria specified in your profile.

All members have access to the Friendfinder magazine where members can post articles on various topics like Teen Advice, Building a Relationship, Dating Safety and Ending a Relationship. Some of the articles are more like a discussion post so there is an opportunity for you to reply by composing your own article.

The current prices for upgrading are $19.94US per level every 3 months. In other words, a Standard Member would need to pay $39.88
