Valentine Goodies on the Net

Just like your local mall or department store, the Internet is full of Valentine's decorations, cards and merchandise for sale. I will never be able to tell you about all the sites offering goodies for this occasion, but I'll try to list some of them.

The Valentine's Shop at Excite.com. Order gifts online or through toll-free numbers. There are some freebies, such as greeting cards and astrology reports.

There is Love Yahoo! Style where there is a large catalogue of gifts to choose from. You can also go to their Greeting Cards for a good selection of Valentines cards.

At Blue Mountain you have a wide choice of free cards. The cards you create yourself have always been my favourite. When you send a card, you have the option of buying a gift to go with it.

Another good selection of cards are available at American Greetings. There is a gift section for online shopping. A nice feature of this site is the ability to create a paper card. When I selected "send a greeting" on ICQ, it took me to this site but had the ICQ banner (the URL tells all).

Check out PassionUp.com for their selection of Valentine cards. While there, take a look at their other cards, poems, love letters and fun games to send to your friends. This is a year round site which adds new items almost every day.

When we think of ordering flowers by wire, the first name that usually comes to mind is FTD and they do have a website. You can find florists in your area who participate in the online ordering program. I have used this service several times by contacting my favourite florist in my hometown. They have a 1-800 number and I can order by phone and use my credit card.

One of the best known names in cards is Hallmark and at their site you can order flowers, jewellery, gift certificates, candy and cards. They have free online cards too. They carry a line of gifts and flowers for all occasions.

Another good site for online greeting cards is Egreetings.com. They also have a gift shop which is linked to popular sites for flowers, candies, gift certificates, food and wine.

At Rats2u you can find numerous links to other sites for cards, clipart, animated gifs, midi, and cards for Valentines. This is a good resource for webmasters who want to create special pages and you will also find cards that cater to special interest or ethnic groups.
