New Strip--ZENON

Hey, check out a new Tribune strip called Zenon by Marilyn Sadler & Roger Bollen. The following is the teaser on its web site. This strip certainly has enough ideas to keep it going, and the merchandising potential is basically unlimited.

Storyline The stories take place predominantly on the space station, a huge wheel, approximately the size of greater Indianapolis, spinning on a pre-determined course through the blackness of space. This station has schools, hologram entertainment centers, shopping pavilions, arboretums, hydroponic farms, hospitals, a security force, sports facilities, an intergalactic zoo and a science research center. Due to limited space and resources, however, life on a space station is restrictive. The inhabitants do not have access to the expansive and tranquil terrain we appreciate here on earth. As a result, parents are often busily distracted. The halls of many space stations are filled with roving bands of preteens and teenagers on hoverboards.

Grand Philosophy Although on the surface, many facets of the future are different, the basics have remained the same. Technology has advanced, but nature has not. Despite their sophisticated, technological advances, the people of 2045 are still very human. Their hopes and dreams are no different from people within any period of Earth's history.
