On April 25, 1998 the National Cartoonists Society will announce this year's Reuben Awards at the Ritz Carleton in Pasadena. Reuben Awards are the cartoonist equivalent of the Academy Awards, and you can see the Reuben Nominees on the Web. I'm guessing that Scott Adams wins this year.

For an interesting tour down memory lane, check out fifty years of past winners. The last ten year's winners were:

Bill Watterson -- Calvin and Hobbes

 Mort Drucker -- Mad Magazine

Bill Watterson -- Calvin and Hobbes

 Jim Davis -- Garfield

Gary Larson -- The Far Side

 Mike Peters -- Mother Goose & Grimm/Editorial

 Cathy Guisewite -- Cathy

 Jim Borgman -- Editorial

Gary Larson -- The Far Side

 Garry Trudeau -- Doonesbury
