Ctoons is a very good site with 40+ professional syndicated cartoons. The thing that separates this site from others, including those of the syndicates and newspapers, is that you do not need to call up the toons one at a time. For example, if you want this week's Dr. Katz, just click on that link. A page will be return that shows one strip. BUT, as you are reading that strip, the other strips for the week are downloading in the background. By the time you finish reading the first strip, a click on the link below the strip will take you, INSTANTLY, to the next strip.
This feature is a giant improvement over most Web cartoon sites where reading a week of strips requires a truly annoying amount of time waiting for the things to download.
Many of the strips are also in color every day, not just Sunday. That's another bonus you won't see many other places.
Ctoons also has its own original toon, Nimon's Island, by Donahue. This toon is actually animated, as are several others on the site. It will be interesting to see over time how the distinction between newspaper comics and TV cartoon breaks down in the digital environment.
