New Cartoon: BALDO
Universal Press Syndicate just launched a new comic strip entitled "Baldo", by Hector Cantu (writer) and Carlos Castellanos (artwork). The strip features a Latino household, which includes the teenage title character, his father, aunt and younger sister.
This srip is a long overdue addition to the diversity in the comics pages. Very few mainstream newspaper comics have a Latino character, despite the fact that there are over 30 million Latinos in the United States.
