Universal Press Syndicate has launched a cool new comic named Feet of Clay. This strip follows the employees, animals, and machines at the research lab of Clay Industries. It's a fertile concept, with a mix of good guys, bad guys, cutsie characters (read: merchandising opportunities), and the chance to make fun of the business world. At the very least, it's not another "family-oriented" strip (which can be very good, but of which there are already too many).
The Universal site describes Feet of Clay's creator, C.S. Harding, as follows: "C.S. Harding, 23, is a highfalutin, rootin'-tootin' son-of-a-gun from Arizona. He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he majored in nine-ball. Shortly after graduation, however, a near-fatal thumb injury put an end to Harding's dreams of a professional billiard career. He currently resides in Kansas City, where he carves out a meager living as a cartoonist, one of the few professions that do not require an opposable thumb." Go To Page: 1
