Charles Schulz Retires Peanuts
It was announced today that Charles Schulz will retire Peanuts, which is published around the world in 2,600 publications. As previously reported here, Schulz was rushed into emergency surgery in November. During that operation, the doctors discovered colon cancer. Schulz is currently undergoing treatment for that, and has understandably elected to stop Peanuts in order to spend time with his family.
The last daily installment of Peanuts will be January 3 or 4, and the last Sunday installment will be in mid February.
