There are a couple of good options if you wish to join online discussion related to comic strips.
First, you can visit the bulletin board that I run at http://www.stus.com/disc1_frm.htm. It's only modestly active, but it's a nice group of people.
Second, if you want the masses, try the rec.arts.comics.strips newsgroup. Since it's more public and unmoderated, there are more people (good) and less civility (bad).
Third, if your interest is in old newspaper comic strips, there's a good mailing list. Go to http://www.krazy.com/csc-signup.htm.
Fourth, Universal Press runs an official bulletin board for each of its strips. Visit them at http://www.uexpress.com/cgi-bin/WebX?express".
