Vampires!

On August 21, New Line Cinima and Marvel will release the movie "Blade". staring Wesley Snipes.

To find out about the orign of Blade you have to go waaaaaayyyyy (to your time machines! Bring your tie-dies, bell bottoms, and smiley faces!) to TOMB OF DRACULA #10 in 1974.

(Blade's on the left Dracula's the one with the fangs!)Blade's mother was bitten by a vampire as Blade was being born - so he is immune to vampire bites and most supernatural powers. By the way - his mother died during the birth. So Blade determined to become a vampire hunter at an early age. (Lousey way to determine your career path if you ask me! Crummy hours - lousy pay.) Fortunately in the early 1980's Dr,. Stange with the help of Blade and his fellow vampire hunters banished Dracula and all vampires from the "Marvel Universe". This was a really cool story at the time - the BEST unhyped storyline at marvel in the early 1980's IMHO.

======

Marv Wolfman and Gene Conlan return to comics to bring us "The Curse of Dracula"

for Dark Horse comics. If you don't know who Marv Wolfman and Gene Conlan are - back in your time machine my friend - these folks have been in comics VERY long time - maybe since before you were born!

Dark Horse also brings use "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"

Now in comic book form! (Can a cross over be far behind??? Hmmm.)

======

First Godzilla, now vampires!!! What's next??? Can Swamp Thing

and Man-Thing

be far behind???

Later

Robert

The pictures on Suite 101 used to be linked to other web sites. If that web site changes or goes down, poof. No more picture.

Now Suite 101 houses all the pictures on the web. No problem today. ...
