MegaCon starts February 28 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the official website at http://www.megaconvention.com . Media Guests are Michael Rosenbaum who plays Lex Luthor in "Smallville", Anthony Cistaro who plays Kenneth Iron in "Withcblade", and Dina Myer who plays Barbara Gordon in "Birds of Prey".

This year MegaCon will be handing out coupons for signing times in advance at the registration booth. This sounds like a very good idea to me, as I have waited in line at past MegaCons for a very long time (Stan Lee comes to mind) and I am glad to see them try something different. I hope it works out well.

A large number of media guests this year including a number or returning guests. Here are a few notables: Jamie Farr - Klinger of "MASH", Nichelle Nichols - Uhura of "Star Trek", Walter Koenig - Chekov of "Star Trek", David Prowse - Darth Vader of "Star Wars", Peter Mayhew - Chewbacca of "Star Wars".

Notable comic book artisits include hot artists J. Scott Campbell, Frank Cho, James Kochalkan and Joseph Michael Linsner along with Golden Age artists Martin Nodell, Harry Lampart, and George Tuska, to name a few. 70's and 80's artists like Tony Isabella and Mike Zeck will also attend. See the MegaCon website for the complete list.

In movie news, Daredevil looks like another big hit for Marvel. Daredevil raked in $43 million in it's first weekend.

X-Men2 is next and is due out May 2, 2003. Word is that Kelly Hu plays Lady Deathstrike. Take a look.

In other movie news, Spider-Man 2 will start filming in April and Alfred Molina will appear as Doc Ock.

In comic animation news, did anyone catch the debut of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated television show on February 15th on Fox? It appears the creators are trying to appeal to a younger audience than the comic book, but an older audience than the last animated series. The villains appear more menacing, and when the turtles encounter too many opponents, they retreat. Looked to me like a decent animated show. High Schoolers will give it thumbs down, but middle schoolers may think it's okay. I'll let you know. Or you can comment in the discussion below.

Comics Continuum at http://www.comicscontinuum.com reports that Justice League is such a big hit on Cartoon Network, that they are ordering 26 new half-hour episodes for Fall of 2003. Cartoon Network has given the go ahead for a Teen Titan animated television show. Looks like the initial Teen Titans group will have Robin, Cyborg, Cameleon Boy, Raven and Starfire. It is a very, very, young and bosoms-less Satrfire. Sorry fanboys. Take a peek at the picture.
