June Lockhart and Bob May attended this panel discussion May from "Lost in Space" at MegaCon 2002 on February 24, 2002. June and Bob talk about their work in "Lost in Space", Irwin Allen, and about their acting careers. As always, if I have what specifically was said, it's here, and if I have only the general idea or the information need clarification, it's in brackets.

I believe, other actors from "Lost In Space" were scheduled to attend; and at the beginning of this panel June and Bob appeared that they were waiting for other panelists. .

Bob - We [Lost in Space] had a wonderful cast. Guy is the class act of our show. If you needed a friend, he was there for you. You know him [Guy] from Zorro. This [June] is the lady that held us together afterward. To me, she means a great deal. She was the one who insisted on telling everyone [that I was the actor in the robot].

June - When we did "Family Feud" that was your first time out [onstage with us without the robot suit].

Audience Question - Who did the voice (when the lights came on in the robot).

Bob - I did. When I spoke the lights on the robot were synced with the mic.

Audience Question - In the episode of "Invaders of the 5th Dimension" [I thought I saw your head through the robot costume]. Does you head come up to the robot's collar?

Bob - I looked out through the collar. They put black makeup on me.

June - Bob gave the robot a personality. That was nice. [Tell everyone how you got the job].

Bob I went in to see Irwin [Allen, the producer]. I went up to see him and he said "Did you do a voice for me one time" I said "Yes". [I have a job for you, but you have to fit into the suit." "Okay" I had to fit into the robot part. [After I was able to fit in the suit Irwin told me] "Now make something out of our robot". At the beginning [of the show] it was a machine, and as the show progressed, I gave {him more of a personality]. I did dialogue on the set [developed him].

Audience Question on how long to tape an episode.

Bob - It took seven days to make an episode...

June - ...and five nights.
