This information was sent to me by T. Gibbons. Tell me what you think, and if you like this type of articles. ============================== [Robert] What kind of story do you hope to publish at Elucid Press? [TG] Basicly, it's Science fiction; not quite dark comedy (we wanted to call it semi-dark, but it sounded like a really bad coffee comercial when we read it aloud). Geared toward teenagers and young adult males and females. Not traditional formula or genre fiction. [Robert] Can you give us more detail on your upcomic story, title, characters, that sort of thing? [TG] (The comic is called)"Infested" "Infested" is a monthly release about Mourice, a cockroach from the planet Bartrox. While he's away, his home world is attacked by mercenaries and made unliveable -- trillions of his fellow Bartroxians are killed due to exposure to generic bug spray. While fighting the retreating mercenaries, Mourice's ship takes serious damage, and he's forced to head to Earth. Mourice is then on a mission to find out who conspired against his people, and gain a profitable revenge. There's incredible action and depth of plot, with new characters showing up as the story progresses. Though you don't meet him in this first issue, Shep, a homeless teenager, becomes Mourice's CEO in charge of his Earth-side accounts, adopted son, or pet; all depending on Mourice's mood. [Robert] Sounds like a story you don't hear every day. [TG (There's more!) Despite the fact that he's little more than two inches tall, Mourice is arrogant, self assured, greedy, stubborn, and incredibly intelligent. Put simply he's a smart mouth with a quick wit and fast reflexes. He isn't stronger than a normal roach, but he has far superior technology than we generally have on Earth. [Robert] Will there ever be conventional super heroes at Elcuid press? [TG] There are not now, nor will there ever be, spandex clad super heroes or arch villians. There also will never be guest cover artists, guest writers, or guest anything else. [Robert] How long has Elcuid Press been around, who owns it, and how many people are with the company? [TG] Elucid Press has been nearly two years in the making. The sole purpose of forming the Press is to create a viable business that will allow me to make a living doing what I love most, telling stories. It is a sole ownership of myself, and I independently contract my artist(s), giving them the freedom to work other projects so long as they meet their contractual deadlines. [Robert] Why did you decide to go into businesss for yourself?
