new role for CrossGen Comics. In his new position as Vice President of Production Development, Peterson will oversee the implementation and management of CrossGen's new production control system, which will track and coordinate artist schedules as well as analyze and troubleshoot problems related to the production of all CrossGen publications.

"No one has worked as hard as Brandon has over the last two plus years," said CrossGen Publisher Mark Alessi. "He's tired and he needed a break from the 20 hours a day, seven days a week he was working. He is highly skilled in computers and he knows the intricacies of comic book creation and production. This new system will not be a piece of cake to implement or manage, but I'm confident Brandon is the right person for the job."

But this does not mean the end of Brandon's contributions as a penciler at CrossGen, and fans should look for some announcements about a top-secret project to be released in 2002.

New Art Director Bart Sears assumes the responsibilities of overseeing the daily artistic output of CrossGen as well as helping to train the next generation of talent through CrossGen's in-house associate artist program. Along with these duties, Sears will continue to be the regular monthly penciler on the new CrossGen series, The Path.

"Bart was the most logical choice to replace Brandon as Art Director," Alessi said. "He's been in the industry a long time, he has taught classes at the Kubert School, and he's well respected both inside and outside this studio. He was a natural for the position and is doing a tremendous job so far."

Both have already begun work in their new positions.
