Marvel's "Heroes" sell out.

The first printing of Marvel's "Heroes" is a sell out. Heroes is the comic book community's salute to the real heroes of September 11th. A second printing is underway and will be available soon.

Neil Gaiman will return to team up with Joe Quesada and develop a project for Marvel to be released sometime in 2002. The profits that Neil gets from writing for Marvel will go to clarifying the rights to "Miracleman", whose rights are currently disputed. DC has announced a staggered shipment schedule for "Dark Knight Strikes Again #2. The books may arrive in your local store anywhere from January 16th to February 6th 2002. Is there a reason for this? Let's hear from DC

"We're confident that this innovative approach to ordering will enable stores to better anticipate the flow of consumer demand as word of mouth excitement about the series spread," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales & Marketing. "Of course, there will be additional copies of the issue available for reorder beyond the initial four ship weeks."

Here's the scoop

The Cartoon Network and DC Comics are pleased to provide retailers with several promotional items that support the Cartoon Network's Justice League animated TV series, which makes its premiere on November 17. These items also serve to promote the DC Comics title JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES #1 (SEP010221), scheduled to be in stores on November 14.

These items, expected to reach stores on October 31, include:

A four-color, 22" x 34" poster for the TV series, which includes a mention of JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES comic book

A Justice League co-op ad slick

A Justice League bag stuffer slick that promotes the TV series, the comics series, and the JUSTICE LEAGUE ANIMATED MAQUETTE STATUE series. Retailers may photocopy this slick for use as bag stuffers and fliers

DC has announced new creative teams for Batman titles. DC is not giving the reason why, but we all know that Chuck Dixon is going to work for "CrossGen". So who will be picking up Chuck's work at DC? Here's the reshuffle.

Beginning this coming spring, four titles from the BATMAN editorial offices - ROBIN, NIGHTWING, BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS, and BIRDS OF PREY - will see the debut of new writers as detailed below.
