Jonathan Harris......Any other questions.
[Audience Question] Could you tell us about your role in [Visionaries?]
Oh [Visionaries?] was a wonderful series. Strangely enough with all the series that I have done, Visionaries got great notices in the trades. I played the part of Mordred - nasty piece of work. Why do they hire me, I'm so sweet and sensitive? [audience laugh] He was a nasty piece of work, but it was a wonderful cast. I enjoyed that series very much
[went on to talk about the difficulties of this series and the four to six hour make-up jobs on some members of the cast and the difficulty of working with the director on this series]
"When he says 'try the line this way.' he's obviously a frustrated actor. I won't work with him again. It has to the actor's joy to bring the character to life It's part of him. It has to be the joy I've taken and I got someone else to do it. I did a voice in [the animated TV series] "Freakizoid", which I roared, was cancelled. They [TV executives] didn't get it. It's so funny. It's off-the-wall humor. They didn't understand it so they cancelled it. Such a good piece. Adult humor, the kids loved it as well. So there are. It's a tricky business at best folks. I have to tell you. No business is easy, as we all know. As long as you work for a boss, you know."
[Audience Question] Do you have a favorite episode in "Lost in Space"?
Jonathan..."No. We were shooting back to back. Do you know what that means? You finish one episode at 2:00 and you start the next one at 3:00. Phoom. They all ran together. I have a couple of favorite themes that I remember. We did maybe four all together. I played a dual character one time [Zena?] in "Lost in Space" and Smith. And that was a good stretch for me as an actor. So I remember that, because it was an interesting stretch. I got to do something different. So I remember that. And I remember something called 'The Cave of the Grizzlies' because at one point I was garbed in some great silver clothes that I wanted to take they were beautiful., and a silver headdress, and a silver and I had kind of a great slow voice. So I liked that. So I remember that. I never got bored with Smith. Never. Because he was too interesting a character.
