Bill Tucci at MegaCon 2001
Bill expressed concern for the comic book industry, saying he doesn't know where it will be in five years. When Bill started in 1994 he had orders for 34,000 comics. He was so sure they were going to sell, that he overprinted and ran 50,000. Not only did all 50,000 sell, a week later he ran another print of 50,000. A month later he ran a third print of 100,000. When asked about the best way to start your own comic, Bill said that it was not a good time right now. That the best way to do it would be to print in black and white to keep the cost down and only print a few thousand books. He also said that "CrossGen" is the best thing to happen to comics in the last 5 years. He expressed concern as to how CrossGen will make money with a large staff, but whishes them the best. =============== More on MegaCon in the coming weeks. God bless. Robert
