Christmas 2000

What I am Thankful for This year:

I am thankful for the excellent Avengers and Maximum Security stories by Kurt Busieck. Thank you Kurt.

I am thankful for the highly detailed Avengers comics drawn by George Perez for the last few years. Thank you George.

I am thankful for all the artists that came to MegaCon 2000 in Orlando, Florida this past March. Thanks for the autographs from Stan Lee, John Romita, Bob Layton, Dick Giordano, George Perez, Paul Ryan, Rick Magyar, Garth Ennis, Alex Saviuk, Ron Marz, David Wohl, Michael Turner, William Tucci and more I am sure I can't remember at the spur of the moment.

I am thankful for the "Ultimate" line of comics from Marvel. The Spider-man story is very close to the original. And most importantly - it is full of people you can identify with - and care about. Truly a rare feat in comics. The press release is at http://www.marvel.com - so check it out for more information on what "Ultimate" is all about.

I am thankful for the "Spider-Girl" comic by Tom DeFalco. Thanks Tom. This is a comic I can pass along to my family who also like it and can identify with the character. Keep up the good work in MC2. P.S. I liked "The Buzz" too!

I am thankful for DC's "Millenium" series of comics. Great reproductions of some of the best DC stories of all time. First Superman. First Batman (Detective #27), First Robin (The sensational find of 1940!) also some nice Wonder Woman stories. Thanks guys. I hope you compensated the artists or their trusts for these excellent reprints.

I am thankful for continued excellence in publishing of Archie comics. Thanks folks! The high school humor never goes out of style! I still enjoy it and my family really likes it!

I am thankful for an improved Image website. Thanks for the quick previews and nice covers. Much improved.

Thanks to Viz for translating and distributing Anime in the US. Thanks for bringing us Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing, Ranma ½ and more. Thanks for the choices.

I am thankful for Wizard for providing one more forum for buying and selling comics with built-in price guide. Thanks for putting your guide on the web, fan boys. And thanks for the news stories encouraging business in comics. Keep up the good work.

Thanks to http://www.americanmule.com American Mule. Still the best small press web site in the galaxy. These guys are so cool they even have photos from the set of the Archie movie "Josie and the Pussycats". A must see.
