Reading this review may spoil your enjoyment of the comic! I highly suggest that if you are interested in purchasing and reading this book, you do so first - before you read this review.

=============================

Summary: Earth suddenly finds itself inundated with extra-terrestrial illegal aliens. Nasty ones! US Agent and the Avengers rush into space to the source of the alien transports. Here they find Ronan, The Accuser transporting the alien undesirable in transport pods to their prison - earth!

Maximum Security is a vast crossover throughout the Marvel comics. I think at least one issue of every Marvel super-hero comic will have this crossover. As I do not purchase every book. This series most reminds me of the DC "Bloodlines" crossover a few years ago.

Kurt Busiek continues amazing story telling from "Maximum Security - Dangerous Planet" and several crossovers. While the prelude - "MS - Dangerous Planet " blended many races and story lines - this story is a straight forward telling of the result of the previous tale.

In the opening segment, US Agent has been appointed by The Commission, otherwise known as "The Federal Commission on Super-Human Activities", to be a their "Marshall" with global authority to commandeer all local, state and federal resources necessary to track down suspect, hunt bounty jumpers, and perform extradition's world wide.

Yeah, it sound like a glamorous job, but the reality of it has Agent in a small bar in a small Texas border town looking for Piledriver of The Wrecking Crew. Unfortunately for the bar owner, Agent finds the thinly disguised Piledriver. Piledriver explains to Agent that there is no way he can arrest him, because Piledriver has the power of an Asgardian god. Unfortunately for him, he also has the brains of a seven-year-old.

In the mist of the fight, Agent knocks out one of the Blood Brothers. The Blood Brother had a high-tech holographic disguise that just happened to get broken during the fight. Agent immediately recognizes him.

Other heroes throughout the Marvel Universe find their own "undesirables" to tackle, crossing over into their own comics.

Eventually Agent and the Avengers team up - and technically Agent is in charge
