Fandon.com reports that New Line got the distribution rights for Dungeons & Dragons:The Movie and plans to bring it to big screens in December. The distributor hopes fans waiting for the Lord of the Rings trilogy to begin next year will enjoy a quicker look at D&D. Based on the classic fantasy-adventure role-playing game, the film stars Thora Birch, Marlon Wayans, Justin Whalin and Richard O'Brien (Rocky Horror Picture Show) as adventurers looking to stop the evil machinations of a wizard played by Jeremy Irons. Joel Silver (The Matrix) is executive producer.

Fandom also reports that the DC character "Deadman" may be coming to a cable TV set near you! Inspired by the success of X-Men, TNT okayed Deadman as a TV movie and possible weekly series. Deadman is the story of Boston Brand, a circus aerialist who is murdered but is allowed to return to earth to inhabit others' bodies to find his killer.

Marvel reports that their an "X-Men" game will be avialible on wireless phones using Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). Sorry US residents - this service will only be avilable in Europe and Asia.
