FILBERT'S FANTASTIC FUNNYBOOK

(W) Evanier (A) Aragonés/various (E) Raspler (F) 6 issues, Miraweb

An exciting, offbeat story from the artist who destroyed DC and massacred Marvel, with a startling array of guest artists contributing to each issue. Filbert is a teenaged comic-book fan whose flights of fancy take him away from his angst-ridden reality and into stories of his favorite DC characters, illustrated by some of the field's most notable artists.

JLA: YEAR ONE

(W) Waid/Augustyn (A) Kitson (E) Tomasi (F) 12 issues, Miraweb

DCU. A 12-issue maxiseries focuses on the five founding JLA members — the Silver Age Flash Barry Allen and Silver Age Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman — inexperienced heroes striving to prove themselves worthy of the world's faith. But the task proves harder than they might expect when faced with such foes as the immortal Vandal Savage, mad scientist T.O. Morrow, and the Brotherhood of Evil — whose reign of terror brings together the JLA and the outcast heroes known as the Doom Patrol.

JLA

(W) Morrison (P) Porter (I) Dell (F) Miraweb

DCU. For months, comics fans have been speculating about the new lineup for the JLA. The answers begin to unfold with the double-sized conclusion of the 6-part "Rock of Ages" storyline in December, as the JLA seemingly disbands. The new, 14-member League comes together over the course of the "Camelot" storyline, beginning with January's JLA #16.

THE TEEN TITANS

(W/A) Jurgens (E) Berganza (F) Miraweb

DCU. Going into its second year, the TEEN TITANS have some new members and some new problems. The aftermath of "Then & Now" finds the regrouped team — now including Captain Marvel, Jr. and the man-monster Fringe, along with occasional help from Arsenal — having financial troubles and interacting more with the rest of the DC Universe, with an appearance by Superman planned for issue #19.

GREEN LANTERN

(W) Marz (P) Banks (I) Austin (E) Dooley (F) Standard

DCU. The coming months include an issue guest-pencilled by Jim Starlin, a 3-part crossover with fellow Justice Leaguers GREEN ARROW and THE FLASH that begins in GREEN LANTERN #96, and a 2-part team-up with the Legion of Super-Heroes that leads to some truly shocking events in GREEN LANTERN #100 in May.

GREEN ARROW

(W) Dixon (P) Braithwaite (I) Riggs (C) Damaggio (E) Vincenzo (F) Mando

DCU. Green Arrow's popularity surges during his teamings with Green Lantern, and, with his more active role in the recent JLA "Rock of Ages" storyline, big things are in store for Connor Hawke during his crossover with both GREEN LANTERN and THE FLASH. The aftermath of that major event finds the archer at odds with his new teammates in the JLA.
