CARTOON NETWORK PRESENTS/THE FLINTSTONES AND THE JETSONS/SCOOBY-DOO

The titles showcasing some of the wackiest characters found on the Cartoon Network continue to delight young and old alike, with a winning combination of mainstream and alternative writers and artists at the helm. CARTOON NETWORK PRESENTS feature Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, and Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast. In January, when all the Cartoon Network titles celebrate "Kung-Fu Month," CNP blends martial-arts action with an all-monkey(!) time-travel story featuring Space Ghost's Blip, Monkey from Dexter's Laboratory, So-So from Peter Potamus, and the Herculoids' Igoo the Rock Ape.

ANIMANIACS/LOONEY TUNES/PINKY AND THE BRAIN

(W/A) Various (E) Graff (F) Standard

Upcoming events include a "Men In Black" parody titled "Mice In Pink" in PINKY AND THE BRAIN, and a guest appearance by Freakazoid in ANIMANIACS. Also, Looney Tunes will have an all-Marvin the Martian issue to celebrate the character's 40th birthday.

NEW YEAR'S EVIL

DCU. On the last day of 1997, the enemies of some of the the DC Universe's greatest heroes get their day in the sun. Similar to the TANGENT and AMALGAM events, no regular DCU books will be published on Dec. 24, making room for 8 one-shot specials. These titles will feature an eye-catching cover design and trade dress, and distinctive cover art by Jason Pearson, showcasing both established villains — DARKSEID, SCARECROW, the Flash's ROGUES, Resurrection Man's BODY DOUBLES, MR. MXYZPTLK and the Teen Titans' foes, DARK NEMESIS — and introducing two brand-new characters: Prometheus, a powerful new JLA enemy, and Gog, whose villainy will make itself known in next year's THE KINGDOM series, bridging the gap between the DCU of today and the future seen in KINGDOM COME.
