MARVEL AND DC CHARACTER SET FOR HISTORIC ROMP
NEW YORK, October 14, 1997 Access will trip the light historic in his latest four-issue monthly Limited Series. The super hero, co-owned by Marvel and DC, careens through the legendary pasts, famed presents and unpredictable futures of the two renowned comic universes. The first issue hits stores Wednesday, October 15. Access is best known to readers as guardian of the Amalgam Universe which features characters who are combinations or "amalgams" of both DC and Marvel characters. Amalgam Comics, jointly published by Marvel and DC, have enjoyed two successful runs in 1996 and 1997. Access appeared in the hit 1996 Limited Series All Access which was produced by DC. This year's Unlimited Access is being produced by Marvel. He sprang into the comic book multiverse during the epic DC vs. Marvel/Marvel vs. DC Limited Series of 1996. In celebration, DC and Marvel will be giving away five complete sets of Unlimited Access books signed by DC Executive Editor Mike Carlin, Marvel Editor Tom Brevoort and the creative team of Karl Kesel, Pat Olliffe and Al Williamson.
