Movies Everywhere!

Movies and TV based on comic books is as old as the Flash Gordon serials in the 1930's. Here's an update on today's movie and TV doings based on comic books.

Marvel interviews producer and writer of the X-Men movie, Tom DeSanto at http://www.marvel.com/news/showbiz/ DeSanto comments on how the fil is going.

"It's looking great. It really is. Just as a fan, it's like stepping into Oz every day at work. It's just fun to get up and go to work with Professor X and Magneto, and go to the mansion."

On the question of having a pressure packed schedule, for the July 14 release does panic set in? Desanto Says

"No, not really," DeSanto says. "We've got everything scheduled so that we've got time to do the job right. We're in good shape. We're on schedule with everything so far."

DeSanto goes on to say that photography should finish up by the end of February, and that a composer has not yet been chosen to do the music, but the choice should be made with the next month.

Cinescope also reports that Todd McFarlane is talking to New Line about a second Spawn film. The question is, is Spawn 2 too, two much?

On to television show, move over Xena make room for Sheena. Yes, the old Marvel comic book character has returned! This latest small screen version of the old comic book character stars Gena Lee Nolin (Baywatch) as the queen of the jungle. Sheena premieres in September 2000.
