=============================================== Launch Dates for Marvel Animated Series Announced! Avengers Episode "Log Lines" Revealed! By Rob Allstetter Roll out the red carpet: Fox Kids has announced premiere dates for its new Marvel shows THE AVENGERS and SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED! THE AVENGERS will premiere Saturday, Sept. 25 and will air Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. (ET). SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED will premiere Saturday, Oct. 2 and will air Saturdays at 10 a.m. (ET). Can't wait that long to find out what the shows will be like? Well, here's a sneak peek at the "log lines" -- sort of the TV Guide synopses -- for the first season of THE AVENGERS! (Look for more on SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED in future Show Biz columns.) AVENGERS ASSEMBLE -- PART I The Avengers race to protect the President from a squad of flying robots, transforming vehicles and a mysterious android called The Vision. During one attack, Wonder Man is injured while protecting Ant-Man. Will he survive? AVENGERS ASSEMBLE - PART II As Wonder Man's life slips away, Ant-Man frantically works to transfer Wonder Man's essence, his "engrams," to The Vision. After a huge battle with Ultron, Falcon and The Vision become official members. COMMAND DECISION Assigned to guard a shipment of highly dangerous government weapons, the Avengers' mission is complicated when Baron Zemo and his Masters of Evil try to steal the cargo. To make matters more difficult, Captain America comes on the scene, leaving Ant-Man to work out his leadership issues while still focusing on the job at hand. EGG-STREME VENGEANCE Jealous genius Elihas Starr (a.k.a. Egghead) initiates a plot to destroy his archrival Ant-Man by making Ant-Man's "Pym Particles" go crazy. While the other Avengers raid Egghead's fortified headquarters, Wasp and Vision race to find a cure before Ant-Man shrinks into subatomic oblivion. KANG Time traveler Kang the Conqueror appears, creating havoc while looking for a special crystal obelisk from ancient Egypt. This object would allow him to go back into the future and oppress millions of people. The Avengers must protect the world -- past, present and future -- at all costs.
