Orlando MegaCon Comic Book Convention: Notes from the convention

Peter.... [It has been an experience for me]. Working with Bill Mumy was great. There is enough benefits to make you want to fight through the detriments.

Audience question for Micheal on future of Babylon 5

Micheal... We have a deal pending for a Babylon 5 movie on TNT. One of the executives [sent me a note saying] of course we'll recast with movie actors [won't we]. I sent back a note saying, our cast, our crew or no one. Can you see Robert DeNiro playing Kosh?

Audience question on opinion of having freelance writers on the set.

Micheal....Do I still want to have a freelance writer on the set? Yes, I want them on the set. When I was a writer and I asked to be on the set, they said the director doesn't want you on the set. Why? What is he afraid of? Big bad director afraid of me? [I want the writer on the set to interact with the actors when they have questions about lines. I tell everyone that the writer has final say so if I'm not around.]

Audience question about ending the Shadow war in the middle of the season.

Micheal.... The war was always going to end in the middle of the season. {The audience is silent} and this is the reaction I got. What is he going to do now that there's no battles later [in the season]

Peter.... How did you expect the shadow war to end? What did you expect Sheridan to do, blow up the deathstar?'

Audience question on how the casts get along on television shows.

Micheal.....We have been very fortunate that we haven't got [any ego problems.] I have been on other shows where the producer has to call the the [actor's] agent in and have the agent beat him up [massage the ego]. The Babylon 5 cast often gets together to play poker [on the weekend]. and the Centari always end up cheating the Narn.

Peter... On Space Cases, we had problem's with the mother's of the the cast member's egos.

Audience question on how Peter liked writing for Babylon 5.

Peter...I loved writing for Ivanava because she got the comedy lines. The one who was a challenge to write for was Bill Mumy. [Bill told me he only wanted to come in one or two days a week, be in a few scenes. When the script came out, he told me "not that few"]

Audience question on whether Micheal
